BSP schroefdraad - Whitworth
De BSP schroefdraad (British Standard Pipe) wordt in Europa ook wel pijpschroefdraad genoemd. De draadmaten worden aangeduid met de afkorting "G". De schroefdraad is niet zelfdichtend, zowel de inwendige als de uitwendige schroefdraad hebben een cilindrische of parallelle schroefdraadvorm. Om de schroefdraad af te dichten worden er verschillende afdichtingsmiddelen tussen geplaatst bij het schroeven.
